A Monthly Celebration of Community, Culture & Waterfront Life

The Kettner Block Party is the Marina District’s signature monthly gathering — a vibrant, family‑friendly celebration that brings neighbors, visitors, artists, and small businesses together along our beautiful waterfront corridor.

Hosted by the Marina District Business Association (MDBA), the Block Party transforms Kettner Boulevard into a lively outdoor experience featuring:

What You’ll Find

      • Local vendors & makers showcasing handcrafted goods, art, and food

      • Live music & performances from local talent

      • Cultural activations that highlight the diversity of our community

      • Wellness offerings like yoga, movement sessions, and grounding practices

      • Youth activities, including crafts, storytelling, and hands‑on learning

      • Community partners sharing resources and opportunities

    Why We Gather

The Block Party is more than an event — it’s a monthly ritual that strengthens community bonds, supports small businesses, and celebrates the unique character of the Marina District.

     Upcoming Events

Mini Kettner Block Party at Crepelicious — Thursdays, 4–6 PM

    639 Kettner Blvd
Join us for our new Mini Kettner Block Party series, a weekly neighborhood happy hour hosted by Crepelicious, one of the beloved small businesses along the Kettner corridor. Every Thursday from 4 to 8 PM, the Marina District comes alive with good food, good people, and a warm, creative atmosphere.

Crepelicious will be serving fresh, sweet, and savory crepes under $9, made to order with vibrant ingredients. Enjoy sweet combinations with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and honey, or go savory with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, red onions, and avocado.

Pair your crepe with one of their refreshing offerings — açaí bowls, smoothies, coffees, teas, chai, matcha, or ice cream — perfect for an early‑evening treat.

    Poetry set with elders, storytellers

To elevate the experience, this weekly happy hour will feature our 3‑Poet Bistro Table Poetry Set, creating an intimate, artistic space for conversation, connection, and community expression.

Come support a local business, enjoy delicious food, and help us build momentum toward the full Kettner Block Party season. The Mini Series is our way of keeping the corridor active, welcoming, and full of life all year long.

If you are interested in participating as a volunteer, performer, artisan, or sponsor, please contact us to discuss further at info@mdbasd.org.
